It's been a great fall for Hotel Elefant! In September we gave our first concert of the season at Roulette, celebrating the music of Richard Carrick. Just last month we were lucky enough to participate in Carnegie Hall's New Voices New Music workshop with David Lang and the International Contemporary Ensemble. Each concert also got a nice review in NYArts and the NYTimes:
Thank you to New Music USA for posting TRANSIT's "Musician Story!" Creating and playing in TRANSIT over the past six years has been a wonderful experience and a very important part of my musical life and development. Not only do I learn every day from the incredibly talented members of TRANSIT, but it's because of this group that I have had the opportunity to work with more fabulous musicians than I can count.
I hope you'll take a minute to read our story! Thanks!
In this week's Music section of the NYTimes you can stream a beautiful new album by singer/songwriter/performer Wesley Stace. The lovely string quartet arrangements were written by Daniel Felsenfeld and David Nagler and recorded by Rose Bellini, Andi Hemmenway, Katie Kresek, and me!
